Version 1.1 and Future Updates

A few big changes with this project. I've incorporated some of the (very much appreciated!) feedback I received from fellow Text Jammers in the past few days.  These include several QOL updates for the UI as well as balance adjustments and builds for OSX and Linux. There are two major changes I have not included in the 1.1. update:

1) In-depth descriptions of what each class ability does.

I am still working on a small supplemental guide to let players know what each ability does, but I'm hesitant to release it. My reasons are that, essentially, if you have too much information about each skill at your fingertips you are missing out on one of the key tenets of this game: Disorientation.

I like that the player is thrown in to the battle with little information and that they have to discover what each ability does. However, I also understand that this can cause frustration for some players as they must make note or remember the effects of each ability.

With this in mind, I am mulling over releasing a small supplemental guide to let players know what each ability does. In the meantime, we are still rolling with the "use context clues from the name and discover what happens" phase.

2) Restart Option

I've tried over the last several days to get a restart option into the game. Due to limitations in the current engine architecture, this small addition has been time consuming to the point that it's frankly just not going to happen for this particular Jam game.  After I'm done with Ouroboros I'm planning on either doing a large rewrite of the Totalus engine (with a new ECS architecture) or sojourning to Unity for a lengthier (possibly commercial!) project. 

Once again, I'd like to thank everyone who played Ouroboros, Oubliette and gave feedback. Shout out to all the talented people who made games-- it was awesome to see so many creative ideas in the oft-neglected text medium!
